Už 4. ročník festivalu Höhenrausch proběhne od 27. června do 19.
veřejným a muzejním prostorem.

Voestalpine Open Space / Architect: RieplRiepl
Remote from the usual art venues, high above the rooftops of Linz, the voestalpine open space is being built. An art space for extraordinary cultural projects and artistic actions at the crossroads between art, urban planning/architecture and cultural game-playing. It provides a new center for Höhenrausch, a stage for art installations, and a venue for summer cinema under the stars - a space of artistic experience that's always changing - a multifunctional landmark and an architectural signal.

It's an artistic event space, one that continually changes - a multifunctional landmark and an architectural signal. voestalpine is not only the main project sponsor, voestalpine products also lend the open space its structure and form.

High-bay warehousing technology from voestalpine 25 meters above the ground
Voestalpine Krems Finaltechnik GmbH erected the open steel structure of the voestalpine open space using systems normally applied in high-bay warehousing projects worldwide. The voestalpine open space structure is 42 meters long, 15 meters wide, and 9 meters high, "floating" 25 meters over the ground. The architectural design is the work of Riepl Riepl Architekten, developed in close cooperation with the OÖ Kulturquartier and voestalpine Krems Finaltechnik. Thanks to its unusual structure, the building itself is an exhibition piece, demonstrating steel's excellent properties as a building material.
“As a technology and capital goods Group, research and development is naturally of huge importance, and secures the long-term success of the business. Therefore we are all the more pleased to be able to support architectural and cultural experimentation through our partnership in the voestalpine open space. An investment that we also regard as part of our corporate social responsibility.” – Wolfgang Eder, Chairman of the Management Board of voestalpine AG

"I believe that being in this space will inspire communication, whether by putting on various events or by simply using the space. Another plan is to use the cinema steps – the so-called “Spanish steps of Linz” – as a chill out zone to relax in during the day. We are convinced that this structure will give people opportunities they’ve not had before. Of course I hope that it will also be popular outside Linz – for this truly is a unique project, something that does not yet exist in this form." – Peter Riepl, Riepl Riepl Architekten
